Weekend Well Spent at Richmonde Hotel Ortigas

Everyone loves a staycation every now and then. In fact, I just had a good one with my parents at Richmonde Hotel Ortigas last weekend. Thanks to MetroDeal for the amazing discount!

It was our first time to visit Richmonde Hotel, and it did not disappoint. We loved everything about it—from their room, food, gym, and indoor swimming pool, Wi-Fi, security, and so much more. But my favorite part of our staycation was the indoor swimming pool since I was able to swim at any time of the day without worrying about the scorching heat of the sun.

Although it was just a night in the hotel, it was still a refreshing experience, as the three of us got to spend a weekend away from doing house chores and just do whatever we like. It’s as if we went out of town but in fact, we were just an hour away from our home!

Whenever my parents plan our Sunday lunches, I always get so excited when they decide to go for buffets. What can I say? Buffets are just awesome! However, buffets can be pricey too.

There are two things I check when looking for a new steakhouse: lean meat cooked to perfection, and ultra-fast free Wi-Fi (hey, don't judge!).

The steak is perfect. It also goes perfect with rice, so that’s a big bonus for a rice-loving guy like me. The place has a cozy ambiance, and the staff was friendly and very accommodating. It’s an okay spot for couples looking to have a casual date night over the weekend.

Awesome New Skill for 2017

Aside from finishing my studies, one of my dreams is to be Katniss Everdeen, the heroine in the Hunger Games Trilogy. Of course, it adds to the fact that it doesn’t hurt to be like Jennifer Lawrence. So, I decided to look for archery classes around the area just to try it out and see what would happen.

When I mentioned this to my dad, he said that I should get some classes at The Archery Academy's Summer Program. For the price of P4250 (from P8500), I enrolled in 8 sessions of archery which last for 2 hours. Did I tell you that it includes free coaching? Thanks to Metrodeal.

Ever since the popular food chain came to the Philippines, my family can’t stop requesting to go there every weekend. It’s like we’re not running out of food to try in Ihop.

One Sunday morning, my little girl was bugging me to have lunch at Ihop that day. Since it’s been awhile since we went out for a Sunday lunch, I gave in to her request just like I always do. And to some lucky extent, my husband found an offer on MetroDeal for 30% off depending on the GC.
