I’ve lost count of the number of umbrellas I’ve thrown away
after an intense battle versus strong winds from typhoons during the monsoon
season. So, I’ve decided to completely give up on them until a good friend of
mine lent me her magic windproof folding umbrella one stormy evening.
With the strong winds outside, I told her she might have to
buy a new one after I was done with it,
but she just gave me a confident nod and escorted me to the door.
As soon as I stepped outside, I became doubtful about the
umbrella’s structural integrity. I’ve been in the same situation many times
with a regular folding umbrella, and the
outcome was the same: I came home drenched. Surprisingly, it wasn’t the case
with the magic umbrella.
The strong gusts of wind didn’t stand a chance against my
friend’s mighty umbrella. There were even times when I was afraid the wind
might lift me off the ground. Impressively, the umbrella held its own.
So, after asking her where she got it, I found myself
happily clicking away on the MetroDeal site to buy one for myself.
